EA8500: CLI flash r50143 to linux2 (boot_part 2), automatically reboots back into r50140 linux (boot_part 1).

This failsafe occurs with both old and new r50143 public releases.

old 9055488f35ac1a71148d1f87191f2048 dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin
new 41388128c6cad589118322d2b4c2175b dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin

Side note: Since r50963 introduction of Dynamic Auto Bursting (experimental), crash and recovery occurs on
both radios on every boot during automated switchover from DD-WRT to preselected VANILLA firmware type.

11-21-2022-r50927 Both binary blobs have remained same and great for very long time, since r50057 and r50474.

10.4-ddwrt-9980-tW-13-6770 api 5 features mfp,peer-flow-ctrl,allows-mesh-bcast,peer-fixed-rate crc32 3eab9c12
10.4-3.18-00002 api 5 features no-p2p,mfp,peer-flow-ctrl,allows-mesh-bcast,no-ps,peer-fixed-rate crc32 4716237b

11-28-2022-r50963 --- crashing begins --- This is due to dynamic auto bursting (disabled) during vanilla switchover.

That build works good for TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v 1.5, uptime ~24 h. I don't need back to previous versions. Device operating without problems.

R7800:
Also on build 51043 the 5GHz LED stays off even though 5 GHz is enabled and has (two) users connected. Just as with the previous build. It used to work, but unfortunately I don't know from which build the bug was introduced.

FYI, I upgraded to 51043 and happen to switch "wlan0" from DDWRT to VANILLA and rebooted 3 times and the 5GHZ Wifi LED came on all 3 times. Could be a fluke but I picked-up a lottery ticket anyway.

Thanks ... I can do that, too ... but more 'minimalistic' ...

wlan0 was already at Vanilla, so I changed to dd-wrt and did just Apply Settings (no reboot) ... 5GHz light didn't come on ...

Next I changed back to Vanilla, again doing just Apply Settings, hoping that perhaps there's something in the code that does the changeover from DD-WRT to Vanilla (as you did), which sets the LED straight. And so it did!

At this time, I have still not rebooted the router, yet.
I want to watch a bit of TV (from my home country) via Chromecast first.

I think this experiment points in the right direction ...

I have two R7800s as wired access points. Only light I've ever seen on outside of the boot cycle is Power, even with connected devices on wlan0 and wlan1. I always assumed this was normal.
