But the problem remains even if I reset it, on the first restart everything works, when I set up the lan and wifi, the networks are no longer activated and the router becomes inaccessible (even via lan)
i have 5x r7800 and they work without any problems...
if you read the atheros thread you will see that many more r7800 work...
This will then certainly be due to a setting that you make.

Hi, since previuos update I have a issue, The router does not restart correctly, it cannot be reached at its IP address and the WiFi networks remain down (LEDs off).
I did several tests: if I reset everything works until I reset the WiFi networks, if I restore a configuration file from some previous version it causes the same problem.
After countless attempts, it suddenly restarted but if I try to make a new update the problem returns.

Broadcom drivers/firmware are closed source and designed to work wit a specific kernel.
Actually for the routers which are supported by DDWRT those are designed for Kernel 2.6.
That is why Fresh Tomato and AsusWRT Merlin are stuck on Kernel 2.6 (the latter as far the Broadcom Northstar routers are concerned)

Found a weird issue with unstable WIFI connections after 5:00 PM local time???
Turns out my neighbor comes home about 5 PM and turns on 7 bluetooth devices which makes WIFI unstable on just one of my laptops. Debugging was not easy. As an act of desperation, went into Advanced Wireless settings page and enabled Bluetooth Coexistence Mode. Since that change, that laptop WIFI instability is fixed.
Why only one laptop is affected? That laptop is using pipewire/bluedevil for audio/bluetooth services. The Intel support chip requires WIFI to be working in order to use bluetooth.
The other two linux laptops use blueman and did not have WIFI instability. Can I explain this, nope! Just enable the bluetooth coexistence and the WIFI gods are not angered.
And may I ask what is the reason for K4.4 on Broadcom, when Atheros has K4.9?
An extreme generalization, but think about flash size on old hardware.
I am not sure what you mean by "extreme generalization"... I did not mean to suggest that, I felt since I posted on a "New Firmware" thread, that it was implied I was talking about routers that CAN have new firmware installed, and I was curious why k4.9 on Atheros, but only k4.4 on Broadcom.
I apologize for not specifying the details, I was referring to a Broadcom router with 256 MB RAM and 128 MB flash and a Atheros router with 512 MB RAM and 128 MB flash... so both with same and enough flash size.
I've go this Atheros Linksys EA8500 as a spare while I am testing for the problem I am having only with the later DD-WRT firmwares on some of my Broadcom routers... also to check if the there was a similar parallel problem with those new DD-WRT builds. (I remember the EA8500 was working decently with DD-WRT, but I missed the later evolution of the linksys trying to be a PITA and waste people time: their OEM firmware, including the EA8500 now being locked down toward installing 3rd party FW, with encryption and missing electronics on the PCB... I had to solder on this EWW604-B1-LS REV:305XD board the 5 contact header header and bake few missing resistors, to tftp DD-WRT in it.
Anyway the problem is about Broadcom-NAS blocking/freezing all other process at boot and when WiFi goes again to planned or unplanned re-initialization, specifically on Broadcom routers with three radios (one 2.4Ghz and two 5Ghz) and just 2 VAPs setup, but even on Broadcom routers with two radios (one 2.4Ghz and one 5Ghz) and 3 VAPs setup, which should all be far from the suggested 4 VAPs max.
Problem which in turn kill the connection with many mobile devices, like tablets and phones, which after repeated password authentication errors stop trying to reconnect for good.
