Ok, I got it this time.
I did some extra tests and understand how it works.
#2 can't work as the content of "/tmp/openvpn/ccd" is deleted at each boot, so any configuration dropped in this directory without any mechanism to recreate it would be deleted.
#3 is the 2nd valid option, no need to prepare and copy any file as the file(s) for the "/tmp/openvpn/ccd/" directory are created at each boot by the startup command(s).
Ok, everything's fine now. Issue solved!
