Hi all,
I have pulled my RT-AC88U out of the closet because I have a new use for it. I have a version of DDWRT on it from a year or two ago, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with some of the more recent builds. I would like to upgrade but I don't have any experience from any of the builds this year. Any recomendations?
I have a few of the same routers (RT-AC3100's only difference being 4 ports instead of 8 ) I would say start with the latest release - r50841, 11/09/22. I would recommend if you upgrade, to erase the NVRAM so there are no gremlins. Also, I would use the standard build, and not the experimental build.
I have two RT-AC88U in operationn. In general they work with latest builds. Be sure to stay below 64Kb of NVRAM configuration otherwisen you get problems (2.4GHz WLAN disapears). I also see random reboots on both routers (2-5 times the week). _________________ Asus AC-RT88U (Gateway, asus_rt-ac88u-firmware_52459.trx)
