I have a Linksys WRT3200ACM-UK with DDWRT firmware. build is DD WRT v 3.0-r50841 std (11/9/22).
The Internet connection works fine on open wifi (both with broadcasting the SSID and with a hidden network), but the moment I set up security for the wifi, my devices stop connecting. I tried all combinations of wpa / wpa2 etc and nothing works.
My devices are all on latest software (android 13, Windows 11,etc)and are pretty new, so I don't think it's a compatibility issue. (also, they were working on the linksys sofrware). They are all compatible with both 5GHz and 2.4 GHz, but for now I have disabled the 2.4 to focus on getting the 5 working first. (Additionally, since they connect without security, I don't think that is the issue).

Hi there
WPA2 + CCMP-128 (AES) is the one you need, do not click/tick box anywhere else, do not use TKIP & AES mixed
than add password...click save and reboot...
also on wifi setting do not use auto channel ...
best help will come if you expose your WiFi settings and wifi security settings...so, other GURU's can have a look..(post a pic)

I tried it with these exact settings, but it's still not letting me connect.
I don't have channel set to Auto either. Will try asking in the forum you suggested though, thanks!

Can you show a screenshot of the Wireless basic page? I wanna see the order of the interfaces i.e 2.4 vs 5Ghz and the number of interfaces you have (because different platforms shows the radios in different orders and Im unfamiliar with yours.)
First directive will send extra options tagged as "known" to machine with Ethernet MAC address 11:22:33:44:55:66.
The other directive will ignore any clients which are not specified in dhcp-host lines. Equivalent to ISC "deny unknown-clients".
This relies on the special "known" tag which is set when a host is matched.
On linux (!) means NOT. _________________ Atheros
