Any volunteer got time to seriously test NTFS-3G with USB storage in DD-WRT? Could just be some cache or buffer problem?
DD-WRT doesn't use NTFS-3G anymore afaik (unless some really specific targets Im not aware of and old firmware versions).
DD-WRT uses NTFS3 -- besides this has already been tested bugs fixed where the unmount wasn't properly handled and caused FS to be marked dirty.
The OP should simply upgrade his DD-WRT to a current version which includes the bug fixes
I have tested it myself and works fine across reboots and FW upgrades.
There are several topics on this, you could be a nice chap and look for them yourself.

On a personal note, your volunteers requests, I find this simple uncool netiquette to say the least.
Well, testing does really take time. Not everyone could afford it. Of course, I don't speak for DD-WRT, just another curious user. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Correct. But what still puzzles me is how part of an unconnected theme that's 3 years old made it's way to official development. The original version has many more in the cast, and access of one account to that resource was removed two years ago. It is nice to see that some of my work during dual-credit AP classes in high school is mysteriously popping up randomly for no obvious reason <lol> _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

It did it again. No quirks no errors no nothing until this last 5min.
This is what parted magic has to say from the disc:
$MFTMirr does not match $MFT (record 3).
Failed to mount '/dev/sdb1': Input/output error
NTFS is inconsistent. Run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot it TWICE!
The usage of the /f parameter is very IMPORTANT! No modification was
made to NTFS by this software.
And this is what windows says:
Chkdsk was executed in read/write mode.
Checking file system on D:
Volume label is NAS.

Stage 2: Examining file name linkage ...

Phase duration (Index verification): 695.65 milliseconds.
Phase duration (Orphan recovery to lost and found): 12.07 milliseconds.
6 reparse records processed. Phase duration (Reparse point and Object ID verification): 5.31 milliseconds.
Stage 3: Examining security descriptors ...
Cleaning up 1 unused index entries from index $SII of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 1 unused index entries from index $SDH of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 1 unused security descriptors.
Security descriptor verification completed.
Phase duration (Security descriptor verification): 5.77 milliseconds.
818 data files processed. Phase duration (Data attribute verification): 2.78 milliseconds.
Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems.
No further action is required.
Windows repaired the disc again. I dont know is it the usb adapter or is it the router or is it the dd-wrt what does this. Firmware is not the latest no. But this one works well for me.
