The router is about to be abandoned by Google and supposedly have awesome hardware but not accessible.
There are couple of smart people on youtube that have rooted theirs and if thats the case maybe DD-wrt can be installed on them.

Looking for a way to save these routers/mesh !

Bluetooth support maybe a nono but its possible Linux side, after donating the hardware for research and development. you need to wait for X amount of time and expect in the end or manage your expectations regarding stability.

Qualcomm/Atheros is all opensource so, sure that part probably easy, you also have two flash chips, which maybe interesting in itself what there resides.

Ide rather go with a existing something or other which is already well supported in DD-WRT rather than some new orphan on the block.
