Hello.
There was an update to the DDNS and now the configuration for DUIA DNS does not work. I've tried with SSL on or off. Reset default configuration.
In-a-dyn version 2.9.1 -- Dynamic DNS update client.
Update forced for alias xxxxxxx.duia.us, new IP# XXXXXXXXXXXX
Temporary error in DDNS server response:
[500 Internal Server Error]
Will retry again in 600 sec ...

Same here, made update from r50595 to r50755 on N66U, WRT 1900ACS v2 and R7800.
My DDNS provider: no-ip.com
Username: theusername used for logging into no-ip website
password: the same password used the last years.
No changes made at all in the last months.
cat /var/log/messages |grep inadyn finds multiple lines where inadyn complains about bad auth.
Changed password on Website, inserted it into router --> still no change. Bad auth is given.
Had a look into nvram show |grep dns and looked for the stored credentials.
--> the password stored there is one character shorter than the one configured in webinterface?
For example password set to
12345678910abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzasdfasdfasdf
the last "f" is missing in nvram.
Changed the password on noip.com website according to this and rebooted routers
--> seems to work for now.
But why is the last character missing? Where did it go?

It looks like my old password was too long.
Reduced the length and all problems observed after the update are gone now!
Funfact:
I used one of my two cats as random number generator a few years ago.
He jumped on the keyboard --> Random Password for old DDNS.
The new "not so random password" was done by me cleaning the keyboard
password is 64 characters max. i think this is long enough. i assume you just need to learn how to handle copy & paste. the missing character at the end makes no sense to me _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
