Has anyone had any success installing dd-wrt on TP-LINK N600? (not sure if this is an alternate name for a WDR3600)....

DDWRT has only support for v1 if yours is v1
as well there is a US version and standard version...

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2022/10-31-2022-r50755/tplink_tl-wdr3600v1/

depends on yours...

reset stock firmware and from there
first flash factory-to-ddwrt.bin
than from ddwrt interface tl-wdr3600-webflash.bin

or if us version use the other files Razz

DD-WRT supports all V1.X, where X is any number. Ex: v1.5 is supported.

I have a WDR3600. Don't expect amazing speeds out of this router. I found it to be not very stable and poor range. I have since replaced it with an Archer C7 v2.

There is also a possibility that the stock firmware is rejecting the correct file, as previously noted elsewhere in the forum (error 18005, header information differences) and in the OpenWRT wiki:

https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link-tl-wdr3600_v1

It may require you to revert to the oldest stock firmware version first, regardless of regional device version issue(s).
