Linksys WRT3200ACM
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r47608 std (10/28/21)
I'm going to set up my router as an AP (access point). I'm following the Wireless Access Point article from the Wiki (
https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_access_point ), and I'm wondering where exactly is the "Assign WAN Port to Switch" option that should be at Setup -> Basic Setup -> Network Setup -> WAN Port -> Assign WAN Port to Switch (according to the article). What I have, instead, is a Setup -> Networking -> Port Setup configuration, with a "WAN Port Assignment" that is a selection box (not a check box), with the options "disabled", "eth0", "eth1", "wlan0", "wlan1" and "br0". WAN connection type is already set to disabled at Setup -> Basic Setup. Should I keep this "WAN Port Assignment" set to "eth0" or what? Or else, should there be a "switch" option in this selection box?
thanks! _________________ Linksys WRT3200ACM - 静岡県袋井市日本

Your build is old, upgrading to a recent build is highly recommended.
Newer builds like yours do not have that option any more.

No there is no checkbox "assign port to switch" - at least not on the routers I know.
Just disable the WAN connection and leave the WAN port unused.
Otherwise you can configure the switch manually via command line with "swconfig" and assign all available ports to the LAN.

RE: "Assign WAN Port To Switch":
Quote: NOTE: Builds 46788 and later do not have this feature
As noted, there are ways to make it work, dependent on platform.
Current release is 50671, upgrading recommended.
