Hi all,

I want to build a local network for some iot stuff but I don't know if I even can with the hardware I got. Can you tell me ?

Hardware I have :

- One WRT54GS with v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mini
- a cell phone for the internet connection
- an ESP32 linked to some weather sensors
- a Raspberry as server to log weather datas
- a laptop

What I imagine :

The router would share/enhance the internet coming from the phone.
The ESP32 which is outside would communicate with the router via WIFI to log datas on the raspberry, even if the phone is off or away.

What I did:

I have a physical interface on repeater mode for my phone data. With it, I have access to internet.
I create a virtual interface for the iot stuff to connect to.

My laptop and the Raspberry are wired via Ethernet.
Esp32 is connected via WIFI.

All i working fine except one thing :

If the phone is off or away, the ESP can't communicate with the raspberry. So I am wondering if and how I could do ? Do I need to buy one more router that would do the local network as the one I have now would do the internet repeater only ?
