I have an Archer C7 v 2 with dd-wrt loaded.

I have Four TPLINK switches which offer VLANS which are all connected directly to the router.

ROUTER
Port 1 - Switch 1
Port 2 - Swtich 2
Port 3 - Swtich 3
Port 4 - Switch 4

I am trying to setup a VLAN for my Video Surveillance system. Here is what I have:

Switch 1 - I have cameras on port 1 and 4
Swtich 2 - I have cameras on pot 3 and 4 and the NVR Recorder is on port 7
Swtich 3 - I have a camera on port 7
Swtich 4 - Camera on port 4

The NVR needs access to the WAN as its the way I am able to check the system on my mobile phone.

How in gods name do I set this up on the Router and Switches. Been struggling with this for weeks.

Also this article shows how to setup VLANS on TPLINK Swtiches

You will need to use swconfig script in DD-WRT, using this thread as an example (read all the way through!): R7800 and VLANS

The webUI is not functional on Atheros devices, or is a mixed bag, and should be avoided.

I am using build v3 r44715 11/03/20

I see various examples of people making each port on the router separate from one another and having their own DHCP server and IP address. But with my example, each port coming off the router is going to a switch and each VLAN will be coming from all ports on the router and different switches.

My CP model is Atheros on my router. So are you saying it a waste of time ?

I also have a linksys wr 1200 that I could use for DD-WRT
