I have a very, very modest routing requirement (redirecting DNS requests from Google devices so that they don't go to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4). This used to work with static routing, but apparently something changed recently and now I need IP tables.
The budget for this is very limited and I'd like to spend less than $50; the amount of traffic will be trivial and I don't need high performance. I have tried to find quite a large number of the routers from the compatibility list at Amazon (I'm in Spain, so that's my main supplier), but still haven't found one under €150. I got excited about the Asus RT-N12 which is very cheap, but it's the RT-N12E and that's clearly marked as not compatible.
Does anyone have tips for cheap hardware that is available today? |
