I would like to use Stubby for my DNS and would like it to be encrypted. I have searched the forum but there are no instructions to actually perform this tasks. Does anyone know how I could get this set up? I would appreciate clear instructions.
Cheers.

well you didn't say what router..and build, but if your has a USB than click red link in my signature Smile i did step by step guide there Cool

do notice for R7000 you need dual core ARM Entware installation not Broadcom...

as well you can fairly use SmartDNS instead... see my last post for what you'd need for SmatDNS https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=323896&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=135

Im still on Stubby manly, but I use SmartDNS on some other routers too..as its easy to set..

For SmartDNS you need just the servers lines..and it works ok...

Bear in mind you wont be able to use Stubby or SmartDNS together, nor along with DNScrypt

choose one and use only one....

I use Stubby and SmartDNS on different routers as well.
Both work fine no problems.

SmartDNS has added option to use DoH as well as DoT, Stubby is DoT only.

At some point I will probably switch to SmartDNS only which will eliminate the need for working usb mounted at all times.
I had a drive failing a while back and it took a while to figure out where my problem was.

Link to Stubby setup guide in my sig as well.
