You don't need to enable DHCP forwarder or set a DHCP server IP address, nor do you absolutely have to set local DNS IP address. No information about your local DNS server (PiHole, other DD-WRT router, etc.) given, but you don't have local domain configured, either. Some futher details of your overall network topology and configuration of upstream router, etc. may help shed light on the problem. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

THX for your Answer.
My upstrem router is a OpenWRT router.
I checked now the "domain" entry which is set on upstraem router.
Its "lan". After setting "lan" as used domain on DD-WRT, save this and reboot, the hostname of this as switch used DD-WRT router are still not shown by Angry IP scanner. The hostnames of other devices on same network, are shown by Angry IP Scanner as "hostname.lan"
Try setting a static lease with a hostname for your E4200 on OpenWRT. Some things do not broadcast a hostname, and since you are in switch mode, the usual things won't apply, most likely. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
