Correct. Just a small snag in the process of fixing samba. I saw your commit, thank you for fixing that. I will check for new test images later.

Thanks Brainslayer, this build is working fine.
smdb running smooth. CPU utilization is good, It reaches higher side depending on file size, but good thing is it is returning to normal range very fast (for me normal is 1-3%, which I have seen on R7800 since installing DD-WRT first time)

I am now seeing just one error for smdb in syslog multiple times, it also goes away once NTP sync is complete.

Jan 1 05:30:40 R7800 user.err wsdd2[951]: error: wsdd-mcast-v4: wsd_send_soap_msg: send

just a query, as I am not Linux person, what this error means and do I need to bother about it. I am not seeing any errors and smdb is working

Router R7800
f/w build 43762

I haven't experienced this for a while, but after every reboot I have to press Apply Settings on the IPv6 GUI page to make IPv6 work properly (=so it passes the tests).

IPv6 used to require that to make it work, but not for a long while now (=many build versions).

I have had nothing special on the IPv6 GUI page for a long time:

IPv6 enable
DHCPv6 with prefix delegation
prefix 64
MTU 1572
and RADVD enable.

Hi BrainSlayer,

With your latest build (43762) I was not able to crash the user-space smbd process. Thank you so much!
For some reason I had to restart Samba: after the update Windows saw the shares once, and never again (browsing would fail).
There was nothing on the Syslog to point to an issue, other than
Code:

<3>Jul 13 01:06:56 kernel: [  182.639392] ksmbd: smb3_decrypt_req:8075: invalid session id(1) in transform header

After restarting Samba, it was all good. I'll let you know if I can narrow it down.

Thanks again!
Marcelo.-

Hi BrainSlayer,
After putting the Windows machine to sleep for a bit and wake-up, the Samba server is no longer accessible. I had to restart it again.
