the usb version even if we do not have speed more than 400-500Mbit in our territory it sounds easier and portable to "fit" anywhere.
but we will get the 480Mbit from a usb2 port or even from the usb3 port with usb3 adapter because of software/driver or hardware acceleration limitations ?
Sorry i am a newbie and i do not know how to describe it .

In the past, we have used an USB dongle for that (something like a thumb drive with an slot for the miniSIM). Be warned, though, the kernel has support only for certain models of controllers.
Shall you want further support, you should move this post to the forum related with your particular router, and state the build number you're using. _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.

Need to know specific router in question, not generic "Atheros", please. Are you trying to swap this hardware into a device in place of a removable mini PCIe wifi card? _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

The routers i have are old like tp-link TL-WDR3600/4300 (usb2) and i do not know if they have removable slot inside.
The solution "to swap this hardware into a device in place of a removable mini PCIe wifi card" it will be the best so i am asking if there is DD-WRT routers with extra or removable slot capable to use the cat12 or 16 cards (or others) i show in the links.
thats the reason to move this thread to o more wide subforum like Atheros.
Many people are moved or moving to 4g/5g solutions and for that i placed in general questions
At least in Europe 4g devices like Mikrotik are difficult to find the last months
