Let's say your setting up your wireless page. Your in the advanced settings and you have changed several settings and you realize that you are on the wrong band (2.4 instead of 5). As long as you have not hit the 'Save' button, you can hit the 'cancel changes' button and revert back to your original settings. At least, that is my understanding of its function.

@strange, it is a reasonable understanding, but not all pages follow that logic. Sometimes you enable something and haven't pressed save or apply and hit the cancel changes and nothing happens.

For instance, tunnels tab, if you have no tunnels, soon as you add a tunnel cancelling has no effect whatsoever, there are others pages also similar add anything, cancel has no effect, I haven't really made a comprehensive list.

Example:
Wireless/Basic: change anything, everything.
Hit cancel -- changes are gone.

Issues/Errors: WiViz not working, Firmware crashes (qca9984/qca9994 hw1.0)

Confirmed

I did a little experimenting and there is an issue with WiViz. On my R9000, clicking the WiViz button when I am connected to the 2.5GHz radio crashes the radio. The 5GHz radio stays up and ethernet is up, but no 2.4Ghz. I reproduced it twice. Rebooting the router brings it back. Connecting to the 5Ghz does not seem to cause the issue.

I tried WiViz from an Ethernet connection and it causes a crash as well, but DD-WRT recovered.

Had a few minutes to setup the other EA8500 since samba worky so good.
I have two flash drives (32GB ext4 & 16GB ext4) plugged into this one.
BY golly it will tick along at 17.5 MB sec moving to/from ... I likey that.
yeahuh setup like it twas before but using a br1 for the VLAN net now ...just worky better.
plugged into port 1 or 2 I get DHCP in the 192.168.1.x net ... handy when have broken
router plugged into the other 1 or 2 port. Still have access to internet local DNS & whatnot.
Yea, it is setup just like a WAP but radios are usually turned off ...but they do worky good iffin I turn either on.
It is in router mode cause that is the way I like this kinda thang.
Its OVPN server still worky really nice ...I just use 2048 bit keys in this bugger Smile
just for hellofit imma post pics how it's setup Twisted Evil

startup cmd ...yeahuh still likey cpu 'ondemand'
Code:
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 1 set ports "3 4 6"
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 15 set ports "1 2 6t"
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
vconfig add eth1 15
brctl addif br1 eth1.15
ifconfig eth1.15 up
sleep 10
for CPUFREQ in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor; do [ -f $CPUFREQ ] || continue; echo -n ondemand > $CPUFREQ; done
echo 35 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/ondemand/up_threshold
echo 10 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/ondemand/sampling_down_factor

firewall
Code:
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o br0 -j SNAT --to $(nvram get lan_ipaddr)

Router/Version: Netgear XR500
File/Kernel: Linux 4.9.326 #1185 SMP Sat Sep 3 01:48:16 +07 2022 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r48810/no
Mode/Status: gateway/OK
Issues/Errors: none that I know of

Two wireless guest VAP's, IPv6, port forwarding for a server that hosts a website and game servers. All working flawlessly.

edit: I initially reported a problem with the 2.4 GHz guest VAP, but that turned out to be an issue with my Android tablet. I'm happy to report that it's working flawlessly with every other device I've connected to it.

Hello having the following issues:

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r50057 std (09/03/22)
Model: AsRock G10
Reset: YES
Issues: YES (see below)

1. My old Xbox One can not connect to WIFI, that only appears to happen to my WIFI, if I connect to other WIFI or to my hotspot no issues at all. My hotspot has same SSID and PSW and it connects immediately. Probably, this is rather an Xbox issue than dd-wrt, but worth to mention.

If you have the option try changing WiFi/Basic Settings/Advanced/Firmware Type = vanilla
