the last know good firmware is: DD-WRT v3.0-r48886 mega (05/16/22)
I am going to revert to that now and make sure everything else still works.

Looks that newer builds are not even starting anymore.
Please advise on the next steps.

update:
Here is the serial log for this build (I see lots of errors but at least it starts)

Not really, in order for anything to be fixed a cause must be found, and this regarding wifi loss.

This bring broadcom any driver fixes also going to be slow.

Regarding newer builds not working is a different matter, but still the dev needs to look into it.

He is rather busy lately, so in the meanwhile consider a workaround of rebooting the routers every so often when not in use.

Thanks for the serial logs though, should help something or other.

I have a router where all my IOT devices are connecting to using wifi.
I have tried multiple routers: WRT600N, WRT54G, etc and all of them have issues maintaining the WiFi connection stable.

This is the behavior I get:
- the router runs fine for about a day or so.
- After that one day some devices can't connect back to the router once disconnected. See picture attached.
- Also at this point the laptop also can't connect to the WiFi anymore.
- When rebooting the router everything start working again and the cycle begins.
- Also just reconfiguring the WiFi by changing any settings triggers the reload on apply and the WiFi continues to work.

I tried turning the WiFi on/off using cron job but to no effect. (wl -i eth0 radio off; wl -i eth0 radio on)...

I have run into a similar issue. Off-Site #2 has a R7000 and many Wifi devices and the teen's friends connect to the WiFi too. After a couple of days (unknown how many) they don't have Internet access to the WiFi Devices, rebooting the router fixes the issue until it happens again. I have a script that restarts both Radios on the R7000 that I run as a CRON Job every day at 5am named 'Restart_bcm_wifi.sh'
Code:
#!/bin/sh
#
# Restart Broadcom Radios
#
# Stop Radios this way for Build 37715M+
stopservice nas
stopservice wlconf
#
sleep 10
#
# Turn ON Both Radios
# Start Radios this way for Build 37845M+
wlconf eth1 up
wlconf eth2 up
startservice nas
logger -t Restart-WiFi "Powered Up Both WL0 & WL1 Radios"
#
exit 0

The R7000 on build 48971 has been up for over 48 days.

I would just use the K24 firmware from the broadcom folder as the K3x/K4x images are experimental, anyway. It would've been better to figure out how to migrate to K2.6.x, K3.2.x, or K3.5.x, or even K3.10.x. Just my thoughts.

So I tried the 2.4 version from here:
http://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2022/07-30-2022-r49599/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt600n.bin
First the firmware version of this binary does not match the date:
DD-WRT v3.0-r49547 mega (07/23/22)

Did not even get to test the WiFi as the VLAN is not working.
Trying to setup the port4 as the VLAN4 results in the router hanging after the reboot.
See the serial log attached here.

Let me know if there is another firmware that you want me to test.

I do have a Broadcom device (R7000) and never had any issues with its WiFi connectivity...
It was an edge router few years back and it was seen a heavy use with lots of clients around...
what is vital... dhcp clients names to be correct so no space or not supported symbols in their host names...sometimes i had to give them a static names as their default names ware not playing well..
Also to consider, WiFi settings (router side) and client side too...there is always a chance for a bad
WiFi client with bad drivers...so on Broadcom i use Mixed instead of N,G mixed...
Down to the WiFi settings there is a radio settings to turn it on/off via time setting... you can try this so radio goes down at late night lets say...
At the end one bad client or super WiFi congested area could bring down wifi for a while or permanent...so, nothing is certain...so far with my WiFi settings my Broadcom (R7000) is fine...
