Maybe there is some magic manipulation that can be done in your Fedora client to force 802.11ac connection preference.

And it's not just Linux that has issues with your client wifi card.

Ultimate question is, do you completely lose connectivity at any time? I have RT-AC68U E1 and an identical client in hand to test this "issue" when I get time.

49361 was the last good version. My neighbor is _really_ good if he can figure out when I'm upgrading my router and cause my clients to bounce on the hour when they should rekey.

I'll wait roll back to 49361 and wait for 49547 and 49557 to land in a release and see if they improve things. If not I guess I'll look for an alternative for a longer term option.

Thanks for your reports and for finding the build where the issue started. I can confirm the same issue on my R7000 on recent builds until now, as reported here: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1287185

Downgrading to r49361 is the only workaround I've found so far. To gather relevant information on this issue in one place, I've started this thread: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1287184
