If you flashed the trailed build(dd-wrt.v24_mini_wrt54gsv4.bin) at r49492, there is no need to upgrade with the same version dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin. Please verify that you did get that file from the same location that you got the trailed build and not the router database. I don't think it would "hurt" to re-flash the trailed build again to see if it reports the correct version and then the generic to see if same version is reported. Or, wait until the next public release and upgrade with the dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin and see if it still reports 44715. If it does, please advise so developer can be contacted to correct. Sorry for not being specific about not needing to use the dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin for current release after flashing the trailed build. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Understood K-P69. I'll try flashing the trailed build again and see what it reports. I did get them both from following links in your "Where Do I Download Firmware‽ thread, see the links I note in my summary. I will re-download though to be sure in case I gorffed it the first time. Again, thanks for all you help with this process. It was acksul a kinda fun project.
Update:
I did re-download both the version specific and the generic .bin files. Note in the attached .pfd doc that the generic files, initial and my Copy2 file, do NOT match. I must have downloaded initially a flawed version, maybe from the database. I used the links in my Summary post to get new versions of both the dd-wrt files. Then I upgraded to the version specific and saw that it was DD-WRT v3.0-r49492 mini (07/14/22). I then did another upgrade to the generic and it too reported DD-WRT v3.0-r49492 mini (07/14/22/ So clearly the third flash/upgrade is not needed. I'll amend the Summary post to reflect this.
