Welcome to Broadcom r49418 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootare fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, removestartup commands.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missingvia Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: stracetcpdumpwireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.

Router/Version: Netgear R7000P
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r49418 std (07/04/22)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.302-st14 #6596 SMP Mon Jul 4 05:45:34 +07 2022 armv7l
Previous/Reset: Netgear Firmware / reset
Mode/Status: Gateway / Working
Issues/Errors: I went back to Netgear firmware temporarily.
I did a reset before and after going back to DD-WRT. The factory-to-dd-wrt.chk only gave me SFE enable or disable with not options for CFT and Flow Acceleration was missing. I the used the netgear-r7000p-webflash.bin and that restored these options.
Under wireless 5G I now have Nitro QAM option (which was missing from the previous builds) plus VHT80 and VHT160. Previous to this build I only had Wide HT40 plus the standard 20MHz (which I still do). I don't believe the R7000P is capable of VHT160 and I am not sure about VHT80.
One other observation, using SFE with CFT and FA Flow Acceleration gives me a substantially faster Wi-Fi than stock Netgear firmware.

I thought Netgear would have implemented the same Broadcom binary blobs in a similar way, so I would get similar Wi-Fi results. Probably using of SFE along with CFT and FA is the reason for the superior results.
I didn't follow the bouncing ball to see if the Makefiles or build script enabled CTF and FA,
but the binary blobs exist. There's most likely optimizations in DD-WRT using Linux 4.4.x
kernel that doesn't exist in the stock firmware's Linux 2.6.x kernel. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

user.err syslog: Error in FILE /etc/config/base.nvramconfig on line 250, this may lead to strange effects like non working save actions
I'm unable to enable klog yet (save button has no effect).
PC plugged to LAN port has no internet.
cosmetic issue on /Management.asp > Network Stack Tuning
I picked this router from the trash bin today. I followed the setup guide here. No issue flashing from stock to initial ddwrt and from initial ddwrt to current build. I'm not sure if my config is wrong or the router is faulty or firmware issue.
