Exactly one can be untagged the others must be tagged.

I have some ideas about it but it will take me weeks of research and trial and error while BS does that in a rainy afternoon Smile

I will write him about it and ask if he will take a look.

Indeed you need to run the swconfig commands at startup.

I am looking into to it and it is rather complex.
To use the existing logic I came up with the following:
adding a checkbox for each port/vlan to tag that, see picture.

The GUI is working (sort off) but the underlying code-logic is very complex and not quite working yet, I need BS to do that.

This seems to be a very good solution. Let's hope it actually gets implemented sooner than later.

On my R7000P and my Archer c7 v4 I managed it also after some time to have vlan running as intended.

I used swconfig commands within startup (from webUI) and set the corresponding settings on the switchconfigUI page.

All working so far.

Caveadd:

As I was struggling finding the correct CPU vlan port on the Archer device, I found that it is clear by using the following command.
It clearly prints out the right environment.

Code:
swconfig dev switch0 help

What if I wanted to move all the LAN ports to the WAN: The router pulls it's own DHCP assigned address from the WAN port, but since all the LAN ports are effectively on the same switch, anything plugged into them (and the wifi) pull from the same upstream source.

Basically, use the router as an access point, because there is already an upstream router.

It works as a 5 port switch when you assign the WAN port to the LAN VLAN. I typically configure the switch ports on my AP to four different VLAN to validate that the connection works correctly since I don't use the AP as an actual switch.
