Hi,
first I'd like to thank this community and also the main contributor to the various firmware, the job is really amazing.
I've search the forum and couldn't find the answer, the closest I could find was a DNS resolve getting denied but it didn't help.
So let me explain my issue which and I hope someone can help me.
I've flash my WRT3200ACM with the Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 std (11/03/20).
This router has a PPoE role. I'm not using it's wifi (as I couldn't found how to mesh it).
On this router is connected my 3 Velops WHW03 in bridge mode (they are then DHCP clients) the create a meshed wifi.
Schema:
(Internet) ---- (WRT3200ACM PPoE) ---- (Main velop WHW) -= WIFI WIFI--many devices including other velop nodes
The velops has leds to know the status (connected, disconnected, reconnecting, etc.).
They are mainly displaying "disconnected" even if I can connect to them and access internet. I would say that the networks works properly except that it says "not connected".
It is a problem because the mesh logic doesn't work as the nodes don't share the best access point for my device.
I looks like Linksys is checking a specific domain name that DD-WRT blocks.
If I remove the WRT3200ACM with DD-WRT an connect directly the Velops as a PPoE modem, everything works fine.
Any ideas ?
Thank you.
Note: I'm not English so apologies if I did mistakes or if I hardly understandable.

to the ddwrt is only router in gateway mode on its own subnet with dhcp and dns, with no wifi and you use its LAN ports to connect wi-fi ap's
or router is in router/switch mode with no dhcp or dns..and its
its basically a bridge between your modem and the wifi ap connected via LAN ports... ?
not very clear your set up ? (4me)
as well 44715 very old and bad build...full with flaws and unpatched bugs...update your build the last build currently is 49197 _________________ Atheros

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately you are posting in the wrong forum and using an outdated and no longer supported build.
See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324087
Current build is 49197.
Upgrade first and *after* upgrade reset to defaults and put settings in manually never restore from a backup (to a different build).
Only set your PPPoE credentials, and disable wireless, leave everything else at default.
It is possible that the Velop also uses 192.168.1.1 as IP address so to be sure you are using something different change the local IP address from the WRT3200 from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.13.1
This is on Setup page
Thank you everyone and thank you for the admin for the move.
I'll try that, I guess the page for the router was outdated as I downloaded the latest firmware from there.
I'll do the upgrade and follow your advices and retry. It will need to wait for the weekend as I'm using it to work.
@Alozaros : yes the WRT3200ACM is the modem/router with DHCP, no wifi and the velop AP is connected through an ethernet port.
