When both QoS and OpenVPN server are enabled I am losing connection to the Internet (no ping) on WiFi (and on LAN probably). The PPPoE interface retains its IP address. The connection to Internet is restored if I disable either QoS or OpenVPN Server. Rebooting the router did nothing.
Router: R7500v2
DD-WRT build: r49139, r48810
Have anyone experienced the same issue?
I used egc's guide to configure OpenVPN https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=318795

A VPN server is just passively listening for a connection.

Do you mean that internet is lost by your LAN clients if the OpenVPN server is just passively listening for connections?

Or is internet lost by connected VPN clients?

Or ?

The internet is lost by the LAN clients which is frustrating.

Thankfully I found a way to mitigate the issue by disabling remote web ui management (which I was using before enabling VPN to control the router remotely). Since VPN is now working I don't really need remote management. I can connect to web ui through VPN (which should be also safer).

To my understanding, it seems to be a firewall rules or routing issue when Remote Management, QoS and OpenVPN Server are enabled at the same time.

OK, I think I found the culprit. Initially I had configured OpenVPN to use "tap" mode. It was that mode that interfered with QoS. Now that I changed it to 'tun', as per the guide, the issues have vanished. Remote Management and QoS are working in conjunction with OpenVPN.
