And for all that is Holy, stop doing 30/30/30 resets on Broadcom, this is for Atheros only. You are shooting yourself on the foot and asking for trouble everytime you do something not meant for Broadcom.
The R6300v1 is MIPS. The R6300v2 is ARM. From what I have read the 30/30/30 should not be done on ARM.

Note that when you click Apply Settings, many services are restarted, so loss of access to UI is expected and will be restored when services HAVE FULLY restarted.
When I lose access to the GUI I power cycle the R6300v1. Sometimes that works, but briefly. Just looking at different settings will cause loss of the GUI. Only a reset will give me full GUI functionality.
stop doing 30/30/30 resets on Broadcom, this is for Atheros only.
Well, this is news to me!

THIS IS BROADCOM ONLY!
1. UNLESS YOU HAVE A LINKSYS EA ROUTER, DO A HARD RESET *BEFORE AND AFTER* YOU CHANGE DD-WRT FIRMWARE VERSIONS. This does not mean hitting the reset button and saying you are done. This means doing the 30-30-30 reset.

You don't do a 30-30-30 on Atheros, you can brick 'em. I guess I didn't see that before. 30-30-30 is specifically for Broadcom MIPSR1 (WRT54* and it's clones); some feel it also applies to Linksys E-series and EA2700 MIPSR2 which is not necessarily true. These devices have a management mode which can inadvertently be invoked if you screw up the procedure. And to clarify, you don't do a 30-30-30 on on Broadcom ARM. FYI, "30-30-30" is related to the reset button. "Hard reset" is 'nvram erase && reboot'. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Well, this shouldn't happen under any normal circumstances, perhaps you need to open a thread or point me to one existing where the issues you describe present themselves.
