Hello,

I bricked my netgear AC 1450 router after a dd-wrt firmware upgrade ( after boot, only power led is ON with orange color and router reboot on a regular basis ). Trying factory reset by WPS button did not help so I tried from reset button which was not more successful.

Router now keeps rebooting and wireshark capture shows that it is attempting to download a vmlinuz file via tftp on 192.168.1.2

I put previous dd-wrt firmware on tftp server with vmlinuz name and according to wireshark it was successfully downloaded on router but issue persist.

Does anyone know if vmlinuz file needs to be different from a dd-wrt firmware ?

Thank you

Use nmrpflash to return to the oldest stock firmware; re-flash DD-WRT, preferably a recent supported build - and I do not refer to any builds in the router database.

Thank you, nmrpflash just worked.
I will retry dd-wrt build. I already got firmware from one link you indicated but version from 16/05/2022 seems to have issue ( maybe related to my settings ).

Make sure you nvram reset via terminal or Factory defaults tab after flashing the very latest build now at 05-23-2022-r48954 at time of writing this.

Then reconfigure from scratch.

Gremlins should be hopefully gone!

If not post screenshots of your applicable setup pages.

Thanks
