@turbowells: might be a good idea to step through each build after 47822 to find when the image size bloated, unless you already know and just didn't report it. I've contacted BrainSlayer about this. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I'd spot checked a few and it seemed like a slow crawl up. I ran a few more tests and got this:

Router Model Netgear XR500
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r48954 std (05/23/22)
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.314 #966 SMP Mon May 23 03:16:28 +07 2022 armv7l
OBSERVATION:
It would seem that the GUI just stops working at times. Here are two images taken 2 minutes apart. Notice the Bandwidth stops...and the GUI time is stopped...however, the router continues to function correctly...I'm streaming a 1080 movie during this time.
If I click on any tab then the router GUI comes back to life.
The log file does not update during this interval and there are no errors.
[EDIT] - Interestingly....I duplicated this again and just waited....after about 8 minutes...it just picked up where it left off. The GUI began working on its own.

The router will hang on the bandwidth graph via HTTPs, Ive noticed this but brainslayer as luck would have it, doesnt find any issues with it.
The bandwidth graphs are resource intensive they are dynamic SVG with embedded javascript, and to make matters worse they are displayed inside iframes.
Again BS, hardly ever finds anything wrong. In this case for him everything is tip top.
Ive reported this to him last year when we worked on the bandwidth graph, others have also found this issue, I think theres a report on the trac site.
EA8500 running as OpenVPN client mode behind primary gateway router. In-place upgrade tanked eibgrad's ad-block script found below, booted back to previous build/partition and all is good

If yuo want to really see the gremlins, leave the graph page up without any traffic (no streaming nothing just idle) via https and it will completely become unreachable after a while, only way to get ui back is to restart httpd.
I am not using https...just http....so it seems that it appears in both.
I've never noticed this when I was running my R7000 broadcom unit (4+ years)....I just recently switched my host AP to the XR500 (Atheros) and I found it. So...sorry to post old stuff...it was just an observation that was new to me so I reported it.

Feel free to make noise about it, BS doesnt believe anyone else has the issue, but me and someone else.
