It depends a bit on what else the router has to do but between 70 - 110 Mb/s can be expected.

My Netgear R7800 can do around 280 Mb/s

I know this is an old Post, but TCB, would you mind sharing what sort of bandwidth could you get from that wireguard tunnel?

I'm currently using an OLD raspberry pi to setup a wireguard Server and tunnel between two locations, but can only get 12Mbps which is not enough for my needs.

Could you possibly share the speed that you managed to get out of the R7000?

Hey,

My test setup:

2x R7000 in different internet connections (100/100Mbps) both running DD-WRT v3.0-r48741 std (04/26/22).

iPhone X with Wireguard connected to the wifi of one router with VPN to the other one. Getting around 60/85Mbps in speedtest.

The router acting as VPN endpoint had it CPU at 35% while running the download test and 47% in upload.

Good enough for you? Smile
