I posted this issue as part of a larger problem of getting the converted Repeater/Bridge to work:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1262327#1262327

I got some useful comments but it dead ended.

The biggest problem is that I can't edit the Control Panel settings because I can't get in!!

I have flashed the WRT54G (v4) router with DD-WRT.V24 mini.generic. I got in initially via 192.168.1.1 and reset the local IP address to 192.168.1.220

I saved all revised screens and Apply settings for Repeater/Bridge. I set a static IP address as seen in the attached.

When I then try to log into the WRT54G device, it doesn't load the login screen. It's stale - no response.

How can I get in?
Can someone please help? Confused

I had to look twice.

But you set a static address on your PC which is the routers address??

Every device on the subnet must have its own unique IP address.
