Hi,

I have this weird issue with one computer connected to my router, and i know this is somewhat related to DDWRT because any slight change i make in DDWRT resolves the network issue.

this computer is a "server" it hosts media, shared files, backups, etc so it is used by alot of other devices in my home. but every single morning, or if i do large file transfers to that PC, it becomes unusable on the network (i get 10-20KB/s speeds) but the computer itself is fine and fast when i go on it physically.

the only solution i have found is to either reboot DDWRT or do a silly change anywhere, on any setup page, as soon as i hit save/apply, i get gigabit speeds back on that computer.

i'm running R48402 on a Asus AC88U, but i've tried a dozen firmwares and the issue persists.

any help or idea are welcomed, is there somekind of LAN log or something i can have a look at to try and see what is going on ? When i check network activity on that computer, there is absolutely nothing going on, no other client trying to access it, im out of ideas.

I will transfer this thread to the appropriate forum

See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:

File transfer from where e.g. from inside your network or from the internet?

Using only wired or wireless?

Have you reset to defaults after upgrading and put settings in manually? (never restore a backup to a different build)

Have you tried the latest build?

Have you tried the experimental driver?

What is syslog showing?

Is this over wired ethernet or wireless? If over wireless, please post your wifi settings.
