Router Specs:
- Router Model: Linksys WRT54G2 / GS2
- Firmware Version: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) micro - build 13064
- CPU Model: Broadcom BCM5354 chip rev 2

Reference Guide:
https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Dual_WAN_with_failover#What_this_setup_will_do

Hi Everyone,

Newbie on this Forum, and I really do hope that someone will jump in and assist me.

Goal:
Setup a dual or triple WAN failover.

I need help with:
- Need help particularly in entering the commands as stated in the reference guide.
- Commands to set VLANs: I am not sure what to use what numbers to use. I need to set the WAN port and the LAN Port No. 1 as dual wan failover ports.
- Setting up the scripts: I am not sure how to create the script and name them as; wan2up.startup, wan1.up, wan2.up, failover.startup, chwan.sesbutton
- Under "Final polishing": Create above files in /jffs/etc/config and then do a "chmod +x /jffs/etc/config/* " - how to I create it? I know basic linux command and tried to telnet, but cd command did not work for me.

- Under "Commands to set VLANs": I copy/pasted the nvram commands in administration > commands , how would I know if it worked?

The wiki assumes you have permanent storage.

As you do not have USB, you need JFFS2, which can be enabled on Administration page, but it is only present in routers/builds with sufficient flash RAM.
You are using a micro build and I doubt it is present in those builds.
I think you router can handle mini builds (4 MB) maybe, just maybe those have JFFS2.

Beside you are running a really old build on a really old router

WRT54G2/GS2 Broadcom devices are 2MB flash; micro builds:

This router would best serve as a wired access point for older client devices; x2 on upgrading to a more recent release. Current release is 48741:
