Hello.
I'm struggling with my Asus N18U (Broadcom BCM4708 ARMv7 sf single core) trying to get a chrooted Debian installed with Entware.
The latest one is this - package debootstrap installed, and while performing 'install-debian' I get this error:
Quote:
WARNING: Your kernel version indicates a revision number
of 255 or greater. Glibc has a number of built in
assumptions that this revision number is less than 255.
If you\'ve built your own kernel, please make sure that any
custom version numbers are appended to the upstream
kernel number with a dash or some other delimiter.

source of error:
W: Failure trying to run: chroot "/opt/debian" dpkg --force-depends --install /var/cache/apt/archives/libc6_2.19-18+deb8u10_armel.deb

Code:
root@DD-WRT:/opt# uname -a
Linux DD-WRT 4.4.302 #5764 Tue Apr 26 05:53:44 +07 2022 armv7l DD-WRT

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r48741 std (04/26/22)

Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

It looks like a known bug :

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=987266

and should be solved in newer builds.
So perhaps ask the Entware maintainers to do a new build?

It does not look like DDWRT can do anything about it Sad
