Hi,

I tested 5Ghz wifi speed from my laptop (connected to the router via lan cable) to my android phone (close to the router) with iperf and i noticed that for most of the 2021 releases the speed decreased a lot compared to 2020 releases.

I only found 2 releases in 2021 where the Wifi speed was above 400Mb/s.

Does anyone experienced this decrease in speed? Anyone know what might be the cause?

I didn't had time yet to test with 2022 releases.

Did you try enabling SFE (shortcut forwarding engine)?

yes, as you can see on my list, with SFE on the speed is even less.

Truth!
With older versions they perform better on my C7 v2. I use it in client mode, so the speed decreases more, but I already got 340Mb/s (down) and 46 (up) with old builds, currently it reaches 280Mb/s (down) and 47Mb/s (up)

btw, good news, i just tested the most recent build (r55109) on my archer c7 v2, and 5Ghz speeds are back to normal (+/- 500 Mb/s).
