Shortly after making some changes to my samba settings my internet totally stopped working. Rebooting router & modem didnt help. My WAN IP was all 0 so didnt think it was the samba settings, changed them back anyway and still no internet.

Started looking around at other settings and discovered that my SETUP - NETWORKING - WAN PORT ASSIGNMENT was set to eth0.

Changing it to vlan2 fixed the internet issue.
Just want to confirm that vlan2 is what I definitely want.

I transferred your question to the Marvell forum as this is a specific Marvell question

The WAN port has always been on eth0 on these Marvell routers. I'm not on a build as recent as yours though (I'm on 48141 from late January 2022) so if something has changed recently, perhaps someone will so advise us.

So I was uncomfortable leaving my WAN port set wrong with no idea of the consequences. I tried it again on eth0 but same issue no WAN IP so I factory reset it.

Sure enough after a reset the WAN is on eth0 as it should be and WAN does get an IP from the ISP.

Just for fun I tried re-uploading my bad config after the reset and the WAN doesnt work on eth0, just vlan2. I'm not sure what got messed up in that config.

So I'm doing another reset and re configuring by hand.

Sounds like you found the right solution. Good luck on the hand reconfig... sometimes needed but never fun.
