@the-j0ker: apacheguy did a hard reset before and after flashing. Re-read the build thread posts. I wasn't going to comment until I saw the same rhetoric in two places.

Mode/Status: Gateway (dev only)
Issues/Errors: None. Not extensively tested

Update: I am experiencing issues with local loopback after upgrading. Yes, I did verify that “WAN NAT redirection” is unchecked (disabled). I also verified that clients outside my LAN can connect. I wasn’t experiencing this on the last build.

@kernel-panic99

This issue was resolved by switching from CTF to SFE. Why does CTF break NAT hairpin and is there a workaround?

CTF works directly on the switch and bypasses the router.

Why don't you use local addresses locally, so you do not have to NAT loopback?

Thanks. I was aware that CTF could interfere with port forwards of some protocols, but since it didn’t affect WAN clients I assumed that it wasn’t the case. Odd that CTF only affects port forwards for LAN clients.

@Per Yngve

That’s a big headache. Every time I go off my LAN I would have to reconfigure my profiles to use the external domain, and each time I am on my LAN I would have to revert the config.

With faster hardware there is no need for SFE CTF FA. Third link discusses hairpinning, search tedm posts.

You can create several hosts in a domain.

host1.yourdomain.com
host2.yoydomain.con

On the dd-wrt router enter

address=/host1.yourdomain.com/192.168 1.1
address=/host2.yoydomain.con/192.168.1.2

No need to reconfigure.
