DD-WRT Netgear XR750
Router Model Netgear Nighthawk X10
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r48218 std (01/28/22)
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.298 #609 SMP Thu Jan 27 21:02:15 +07 2022 armv7l
Uptime 3 weeks
Reset multiple times

Issue
I am running wi-fi through an access point ASUS GT-AC5300. Wi-Fi is turned off on Netgear XR750. On some devices on wifi, the Netgear XR750 takes a minute or more to connect to the internet. The devices connects to the Netgear XR750 router with the router's ip address.
Is an issue with dd wrt firmware or is there setting I am missing to reduce the time to connect to the internet.

I can't understand your setup. How is the XR750 connected to Asus router? Wired or Wireless, if wireless would wireless mode is the DD-WRT router on (Client, Client Bridge, WDS, etc)?

I did read that page several times before I pushed the new firmware plus as many other forum threads.

In regard to your question the dd wrt router is hardwired to the ASUS router handling the wifi function. The ASUS router is in Access Point Mode.

I am going to try to change the TCP/UDP values to try to keep the connections going longer.

It seems the connects stall out and then take minutes to reestablish back to the internet when asked too.

Is this a typo or another R9000 hardware model, variant or rebadge out in the wild (R8900, XR700)?

Yes there is a delay, between networking services coming up up and WAN connection actually sticks varies between routers.

Ive noticed some repeats during boot, adapter on PC (wired) up (discovering)/down (network cable unplugged)/up (discovering)/down (network cable unplugged)/up finally getting IP's from DHCP (static leases assignments) and locking into the preset leasess and WAN connection being made finally.

Can you do anything about it locally? No! (short of you fixing it and sharing patch)
Can something be done about it, sure, maybe, maybe not, depends on how convincing the bug reports are to the main Dev.

Is it annoying, yes.

This will be an issue dealing with 3rd Party Routers since every router will 1st boot to the OEM's boot rom then to DDWRT firmware that may need to reboot the I/F to work correctly with DDWRT.

In any case, Network devices need time to setup, it's not a light switch.

Thanks Brainslyer for making DDWRT work on so many routers and OEMs!
