Router/Version: R7800
File/Kernel: Linux 4.9.297 #699 SMP Fri Jan 21 02:56:27 +07 2022 armv7l
Previous/Reset: 43217 / No reset
Mode/Status: AP, VAP / running since 01/22/2022 12:00 GMT
Issues/Errors: Several 2.4 GHz devices - Amazon Firestick, Simplisafe camera, and several smart bulbs - difficult to connect or not connecting at all to AP or VAP. The Wifi firmware type feature was not available on my previous build, and it was set to DD-WRT. I changed to VANILLA and rebooted as a last ditch before a factory setting reset, rebooted the problematic devices, and all is now well and stable. The firmware type is new to me -- have since learned some N clients have issues with DD-WRT, and VANILLA is specifically recommended for R7800, so that's on me.

***** Late learner of the 'revamping' of New PBR options (in OpenVPN Client, under Services/VPN page). It's a brilliant design of options for PBR.*****

Issues/Errors: Strange WiFi issues when streaming audio to Chromecast devices. Lot's of clicks/static/audio drops
These issues were not present with my previous rock-solid build of r47692.
Dropped back to r47822 (a reportedly stable build that I grabbed but never flashed) to see if the audio issue is present. _________________ --Netgear R7800--

WiFi issues I experienced with r48141 (audio streaming issues plus occasional slow page loads) are not present with r47822, which seems likely to become my next "rock-solid" build. _________________ --Netgear R7800--
