HI, I have been advised to ask here.
I want to use Pihole, but somehow I have problems with setting the DNS and I am unable to find out why.
Four Clients -> ddwrt -> router
One of those Clients is an unraid server with pihole Docker.
pihole is .2 and unraid is .140.
I have set .2 as static DNS 1 @ DHCP Server in ddwrt.
I had the problem that there are only two Clients shown in pihole: localhost + ddwrt. I thought that since ddwrt is forwarding the Requests, it´s normal, but it does not seem to be the case.
I have now enabled "Local DNS" and now the pihole sees my TV.
Also, I see Requests such as mydealz or windows.update, api.msdn, bing.com and 1ficher on my pihole from "ddwrt". Those Requests only can come from my PC. I thought that my PC now works, but I still get ads and when I add some sites to the Blacklist then they get not blocked either.
On the other hand I get requests from plex, which should come from my unraidl
So, what is going on here?
How can I "separate" the clients so that not only ddwrt is shown? How to add my PC?

From the looks I can tell you are running an old and unsupported build.

I suspect you are on 44715 build, going by the dnsmasq options alone
(local dns is enabled by default on current versions and that option is
removed because of this). Please consider upgrading.
Actually I am on 33xxx. My Router is like >10 years old.
I already wanted to update, but the last time I checked, there was no newer image for my model.
Should I really update to an maybe non-supported build?
I would rather not reset everything as I am using this Router as Repeater since my Main Router´s Signal is not strong enough in this room. ...and I have no idea how I have done that anymore.
Keep in mind you may have to CLI flash from your present build when you upgrade if upgrading with FF ESR or Pale Moon does not work. I would suggest upgrading *without* reset and only reset if something goes awry. In that case, save each config page in webUI as a PDF file for future reference to re-config from scratch. Any additional settings in textboxes should be copied and pasted to a text file or you can optionally save each page of webUI in mhtml format from Chrome / Edge and use that vs. using PDF. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

So, should I just try to flash the newest build? WW or NA?
I just want to get pihole to work and not invest that much time with configuring ddwrt again.
