Hello all,

DD-WRT Router Model Linksys WRT1900ACS v2
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r48141 std (01/21/22)
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.297 #3035 SMP Fri Jan 21 03:12:25 +07 2022 armv7l

Uptime 1h

update- browser-waterfox,I switched directly from the first partition in the original software to the current version of ddwrt, after installation and config rebooted manually ,i use default theme,

Connection Type PPPoE-IPv6 Type DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation 1Gbps - Avoid DHCP6 client release on Enable, Radvd-Enable All-ok

Port Forwarding ok

Wireless Interface 5GHz-Wireless Mode AP-Wireless Network Mode-AC, Width VHT 80 Mhz-Wireless Channel-36-Short GI, Short Preamble,Single User Beamforming, Radio Scheduling, Enable-WPA2 Personal-CCMP-128 (AES, Regulatory Domain Romania , all-ok

Wireless Interface 2.4GHz-Wireless Mode AP-Wireless Network Mode-N, Width VHT 40 Mhz-Wireless Channel-6, Short GI , Radio Scheduling, Enable-WPA2 Personal-CCMP-128 (AES)all-ok

Congratulations to all for the work done on this firmware which is more and more stable for a year !!!

And yet I have to bring something negative to this variant, I have a 1Gbps connection, in speed test on ipv4 everything is fine 930Mbps download as well as upload, the problem occurs on ipt6 speedtest on https://www.ziggo.nl/speedtest, I would encounter the following anomaly, it does not exceed 500Mbps download, if I restart the router I reach the maximum speed of 930Mbps, but soon again it is capped at 500Mbps download, this phenomenon I did not meet in the previous version 01-11-2022-r48081!

I have to come up with a remark, I do the test on https://www.ziggo.nl/speedtest with the pale mon browser, today I made an update to this browser and I think the problem is with it, with other browsers I can't reach speed of 1 gigabit in ipv6 speedtest.

confirmed.

jffs2 appears to initialize on the reboot, but changing settings afterwards seems to arbitrarily break this; setting dhcp to use jffs2 for leases does not appear to write a useable file to jffs2, even though it looks like the setting is present in the config file, and the lease file itself is there; it just never seems to get used/updated again after initial creation.

Unfortuantely there doesn't seem to be a way for me to consistently reproduce this because of the fact that if you set it up, it appears to work, initially. But then turn on storing leases in jffs2 and leases break. Then you reboot it in the course of changing other settings... and at some point jffs2 is just gone (ie- not listed as mounted). i've rebooted it just after config and had the jffs2 part stay "active" after reboot too, but leases still do not work if stored there.. and jffs2 will still disappear at some unspecified point after doing this.

I've tried this with all firmwares since 47942, same result. Have not checked earlier versions.

edit- iirc the first version i tried as noob was r47874. jffs2 didn't work at all in that one, not even mountable. Being a noob, i just figured the 1200ac just ..didn't support it.. XD

I have two 1200ac v1's. Both have had the same result.

Why not use an USB stick?

Writing to flash ram wears it out.

P.S. why are you writing the leases File to JFFS2?

It is very easy to add static leases with dhcp-host in additional dnsmasq options so it is a simple copy paste when you reset.

A powered HD is something else than JFFS2.

JFFS2 (as set on Administration tab) is the use of a part of your routers Flash RAM for permanent storage.

I think that JFFS2 is not compatible with the use of a /jffs partition on a USB stick/drive

jffs2 buggyness happens with or without using usb storage. I can't remember if the jffs2 partition crapped out all the way and dissappeared with the external mount applied or not, but storing lease data on jffs2 does not work with the external mounted storage either. The usb storage was a microsd formatted with 2 ext2 partitions, named jffs2 and opt respectively.

And how can I use an HD connected to the router? if i can't mount it with jffs how do i do it? on version 44048 it works perfectly.

I didn't check. I put openwrt on the main router and left the secondary router as dd-wrt because it's only a repeater

On Administration page do NOT enable JFFS2 support if you want to use a /jffs partition on an USB stick/harddrive

Simply make an ext4 partition on your harddrive and label it /jffs.

Enable automount and the partition should automatically mount to /jffs

I connected another HD, formatted in ext4, enabled jffs from the admin panel and now it works perfectly.

I have a /jffs partition on a USB stick working on my R9000. I use it to store the dnsmasq.leases file. It works.
