Hello everyone

I'm doing some speed testing testing with my router. I've been using DD-WRT for a few years now without issue. But I'm looking to flash my Netgear r6400 back to it's original firmware. I downloaded the firmware from Netgear and proceeded to use the flash function in DD-WRT. The router reboots, but it always comes back to the DD-WRT firmware. I reset to factory settings when doing the upgrade and also did the 30/30/30 reset. No luck. I then tired updating from the command line and I get this error:

[flash] : Netgear chk format detected
[flash] : Image too big for partition: linux
linux: Invalid argument

Any ideas how to get past this?

TFTP or nmrpflash.

I didn't even think about using the bricked method. I was able to flash the stock firmware using nmrpflash successfully.

And just as an FYI to anyone else: The stock firmware on the r6400 got me 400Mbps on my 1Gbps connection. DD-WRT with CTF and FA got me 700Mbps.

From what I understand the r6400 is very under powered. Looks like I'll be getting a new router soon.

Thank you!!
