Hi there,

I moved to a new (big) house and now I need to extend my existing WiFi SSID.

I have a Netgear R7800 (with DDWRT) and I configured it to have these network:
* Home Network: 192.168.2.x
* IoT Network: 192.168.10.x
* Guest Network: 192.168.30.x

Each of the above network has also a WiFi SSD.

Now I need to add an access point on a different floor to provide the 3 WiFi network.

I think about to buy the Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO WLAN Access Point and I would like to know if I can do this:

Connect the Ubiquiti AP to my Router using an ethernet cable (on which eth port) and using VLANs tagging, provide the other three network to the Ubiquiti AP.

On my network I have two Netgear managed switches.

Is it possible to do that?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Best regards,
Federico

The answer is Yes. As vlan is hardware dependant, post in the Atheros forum for the R7800.
