Welcome to Broadcom r47911 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootare fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, removestartup commands.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missingvia Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• For issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog klog, serial, strace, tcpdump, wireshark etc.
• Any firewall NAT or WAN issues, show output: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and /tmp/.ipt file.
• Gremlins: reset & configure manually, not restore a backup. Reboot. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Please include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) & relevant configuration information.

Previous/Reset: r47900 / no
Mode/Status: (W)AP, wg-client, DHCP (dnsmasq)
Issues/Errors: Still fishy
Same as yesterday on r47900: No internet, no access to GUI, no ping since 0:00. I have to reboot (cold).
The modem (AVM Fritz!Box) received a new IPv6 prefix at 0:05, not at 0:00. There's nothing at 0:00. DHCP on the Fritz!Box is off. Times on modem and AP are same.
WAN on the AP is off, IPv6 is off, operating mode is 'Gateway'.
ISP provides a dual-stack connection.
I'll try to recursivly find the version which is working (as there is not any reachable log).
As per https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=328895, it might be some nvram value (reset helped @mythz80), but for now I disbled cron (nothing there anyway, can't remember turning it on) and see how it goes. But why on earth should that disable GUI, pings and 2.4G (see my post for r47900)? _________________ 3xBuffalo WLI-H4-D1300

OK after disabling cron in GUI. Survived midnight (0:00) on r47911.
Only check_ps resides in /etc/cron.d (->tmp/cron.d); /usr/tmp/cron.d/check_ps just contains
*/2 * * * * root /sbin/check_ps, date of file 20.12.
Can't find any change on svn related to cron nor check_ps...

@kooper2013: And everything that relies on check_ps (and process monitor) that goes askew will be because cron is disabled. Is this over wireless or something? It would help to know all the details of the issue and have screenshots of all applicable settings to see where things are going awry. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
