I am looking at the solution at https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1111384#1111384 trying to revert my TP-Link AC1750 V4 back to stock. One instruction is "Download LEDE recovery firmware. https://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/targets/ar71xx/generic/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v4-squashfs-factory.bin". But the file can not be found now. May I know how I can find this file now? Thanks......

If you're trying to go back to stock, why would you flash LEDE? The ar71xx targets no longer exist in OpenWRT and you don't need that file; extra unnecessary steps.

Quote:
3. Download the TP-Link C7 v4 factory firmware (be sure it's v4);
http://www.tp-link.com/us/download/Archer-C7.html#Firmware
rename it to 'ArcherC7v4_tp_recovery.bin' (in separate folder w/ original file name to ID that file)

Read step 10 very carefully and explain why you'd have to repeat a process you've already done with another 3rd party firmware file:

Quote:
10. Repeat that process with the TP link original firmware (renamed) using the same steps from 5 to 9.

Not trying to be rude, just trying to point out a glaring obvious oversight in the procedure.

You're welcome. I wish I and others had come to this determination in that other thread so the unnecessary steps could've been removed. I also realized later that someone had uploaded the LEDE file to the thread later on, but it's really of no consequence or importance if flashing directly back to stock firmware via TFTP works. Why complicate things unnecessarily... Wink Cool
