Router/Version: WRT1900AC v1
File/Kernel: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900ac-webflash.bin, R47822
Previous/Reset: R47745, no reset
Mode/Status: Gateway, OpenVPN server, Wireguard server, DOH, IPV6 via Hurricane tunnel. All working.
Issues/Errors: None. Upload and download speeds over wifi consistent with previous builds but still slightly slower than the Broadcom routers I'm using as access points. _________________ __________________________

Router/Version: WRT1900ACSv2
File/Kernel: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900acsv2-webflash.bin, 47822. Purged nvram data and started fresh after the install
Previous/Reset: 44048 (08/02/2020)
Mode/Status: AP
Issues/Errors: Worked fine for about 2 days. Then the 2.4ghz radio was acting up. Devices would no longer connect. Some would reprompt for password and then it would return "unable to connect". 5ghz radio seemed to still work. This was seen on Chromebook, Apple devices and HP laptop. Power cycled solved the problem....for now.
So it's been quite a while since I've updated. Pretty sure I stayed on that old build because of this very issue. Figured I'd give it a shot. Any advice or what kind of feedback I can give when it happens again?

Do a hard reset and configure from scratch. Previous build on one partition, current build on the other. 44048 was prior to a lot of things that changed and that is probably where you're having issues. And by previous build, I mean the release prior to this one; otherwise, same build on both partitions. #that454casullhurtswhenittakesyourfeetoff _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I probably should have been more clear on my process. I apologize.
I actually have 2 similar routers. One is a 1900acs and the other a 1900ac. When I upgrade, I do the reset button thing on the router that isn't currently in production. After it's reset, I plug it into my computer that has 2 NIC's and the routers will have different IP ranges. Once I'm in the router that was just been reset, I apply the firmware and make it so that it clears all the data when it installs. After completion, I then go through page by page between the freshly flashed router and the one that is in production to setup all my specific configs (fixed IP's, Port Forwarding, DDNS, etc) Once completed, I change the IP range of the flashed router to the production IP range. Power them both down and then swap routers.
The 1900acs is the current one that is running. I suppose it could be possible that this router is bad. If this becomes a reoccuring issue, I can do the same thing again to the AC model to rule that out.
No logs I could maybe post to shed some light on this?
Your methods of clearing nvram should be fine, though personally I do not reset during firmware upgrade.
After successful upgrade I hardware reset 10 seconds or nvram erase && reboot from Telnet/SSH as root.
Marvell WRT series 2.4 GHz long history, vendor abandoned driver & blobs, consider another access point.
Do you have any internet of things, smart switches, automation or anything similar connected to 2.4 GHz?
Fixed IP addresses are static leases? How have you configured 2.4 GHz? Logs may help might need serial.

No IoT's. Just normal things connected via 2.4ghz (computers, phones, tablets, consoles, roku, etc.) No smart switches. Some static leases.
As far as how the radio is configed, nothing unusual. NG-Mixed, Full (20 MHz), Auto channel, broadcast SSID, WPA2 Personal. Also have a Virtual Interface to that radio for the Guest network.

Previous: 44048
Mode/Status: AP
Took the plunge and updated to 47822 after having been on 44048 for a year plus. I can say that all my Apple hardware (iPhone, iPad, iMac) are finally working fine. Will continue to monitor. I cleared NVRAM and updated both partitions to 47822.

Specify a channel (non-overlapping are 1, 6 or 11), wireless network mode Mixed, separate SSIDs.
I used to be pretty adamant about the channel thing. But after reading that when the router comes up while set to auto, it determines the best channel at that time. So I've used it for years that way and seemed to work fine. Changed it to one of the 3 primary channels for now. I always was under the understanding if you use Mixed Mode, it is allowing all the legacy protocols which in turn can reduce the throughput. Hence why I'm using the mode I am using. Is this not correct? SSID's are separated.

No improvement, need all wireless configuration details including VAPs & 2.4 GHz connected clients.
I'm not super well versed with the CLI syntax. Is there a specific command to return the wifi configs?
Router/Version: WRT1900ACS V2
File/Kernel: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900acsv2-webflash-r47822.bin
Previous/Reset: r44048, garbage with 44048 settings, reset fixed it
Mode/Status: AP, most settings default
5GHz-AC/N-Mixed,VHT80,36,UU (+6)
2.4GHz-NG-Mixed,Full,11
Works with iPhones, an iPad mini, laptops, a million smart plugs, nests, streaming devices...
Issues/Errors: Status->LAN->Active Clients table rows are uneven and don't line up very well - I can deal with wifi drops, but this makes it totally unusable!
