|
I want to buy a Netgear XR500-100EUS router but I found it in different subtypes.
I found AC2600 and AC4000 subversions.
What does that mean?
Which is better and is both compatible with dd-wrt?
On official Netgear site only the AC2600 version is listed. |

I have heard of a Netgear AC4000 which is an X6S (R8000P, tri-band) which I do not recommend.
But I have not heard of an XR500 AC4000.
I do not think that an AC router with two radio's (which is or was? an XR500) could get to 4000Mb/s throughput
So if it is not listed on the Netgear website it probably does not exist? _________________ Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.
