Did you ever find any other builds that work for you? While my stock firmware on the wrt32x has been rock solid the last 6mo,i find myself longing for the features of ddwrt again and thinking about giving it another shot. Curious if the wifi driver issue was ever addressed. If not, I'm just going to go get a new router that's better supported than this Marvell crap!

Hello! Thank you for this post. I struggled with my WRT32X since i bought him and installed DD-WRT on it over a year now.
The only Firmware version r44048std - Marvell Fallback does work. I red the most posts and links with the large problems and developing of the open source mwlwifi driver.
My hardware:
Router Name WRT32X
Router Model Linksys WRT32X
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r44048 std (08/02/20)
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.231 #1979 SMP Sun Aug 2 03:35:09 +03 2020 armv7l
CPU Model Marvell Armada 385
CPU Cores2
CPU Features VFP VFPv3 NEON VFPD32 EDSP
CPU Clock 1866 MHz
Has anyone with a WRT32X hardware successfully other firmware version installed than the r44048std and the wifi does really work?
I tried really many many (naturally all the latest and newest one) firmware versions of dd-wrt, but no others are working for me. I tried also the WMM disabling and LPDC for the Chip ESP8266 (in advanced settings).
So my two questions if I may make them at all on this much discussed topic:
Does anyone with the same hardware a "stable" WiFi with a newer firmware version of r44048std running?
Is there any news or updates about the developing from the mwlwifi drivers developing or something so that my wrt32x has a kind of future?
Currently appears to be very stable on the WRT3200ACM with the most recent build. Nice to be able to get back onto DD-WRT code. _________________ Linksys WRT3200ACM

No, i didn't tried other builds anymore, because in every other build than the r44048std i have massive problems with smartphone devices. And i am sure, that is not my (bad) configuration, because i set the same settings on every build. I had linksys/cisco a very long time, but next router will be another brand.

You should test the most recent release since the mac80211 patches. Selling yourself short and a negative attitude like that doesn't help the community much.
Build r47853 includes mac80211 patches, since r47720, solving the wireless cutout issue after r44048.
Many thanks to you, i will consider your suggestions in the future!!!

Thank you for all your information and i won't wasting your time and also from the community.
I will try the new builds with the mac80211 patches!
At the moment with the same configurations the build r47822 is running (since 1-2 hours) and i will monitor it the next days.
And sorry, that i was not a good help for the community and wasting your time, it was a question if there is a hope for my router. I am not so a poweruser or developer/programmer to give you much more informations or solutions. Next time i will try to do it better or will not post useless things.
I have been running dd-wrt on the 32X since before and after the mac80211 patches...been pretty solid for me since the patches. I did notice prior to the patch older Chromecasts v1, LG G3, WeMo, Pixels and iPads were problematic...haven't had any issues since the patches. Currently on build 47900. Lots of other devices on wireless and no random drops.
I dont have any problem. My printer, laptop, 8 webcams, WiFI thermostat, Garmin watch and Garmin WiFI weight scale, 4 of my Amazon WiFI AC switch all works fine with this router.
BUT ... there is something about my Samsung S20 and S21 phones. Almost every AM, it would hang. I just do a quick toggle and it work again.
