WRT54GS Hangs Sporadically

newbie here, tried to do a search but didn't find anything...

I have 2 WRT54GS, one acts as a router, the other as a bridge. Security is set to WEP (had some issues with WPA). Both work, but are not stable. The bridge seems to hang about 3 times a week. The router hangs once every 2 weeks (approximately). I'm using the following Firmware:DD-WRT v23 SP1 Final (05/16/06) std.

Has anyone run across this, or have tips on troubleshooting?
