Hi
I have two networks
Network "A" is my ddrt router with 192.168.1.1
Network "B" is my cysco managed switch with 192.168.2.1

I want to be able to access my cysco switch from my ddrt router by typing in its ip address. I want to asign port#1 on the ddrt to this.

Is this possible?
Thanks
Mike

hello,
i don't understand, 'y' do you have switch with another subnet?
What you could do is, segregate a LAN port form your router on its own subnet, than connect the switch and 'bob is your uncle' or i didn't understand correctly your goal...anyway here some food for thoughts...

Network A is for the computer network "PCs"
Network B is for my phone system which is managed by a Cysco switch. It assigns 192.168.2.--- for the phones

The switch needs internet access to the 192.168.1.-- side.

I need to be able to access my phone server on the 192.168.2 from my PCs which is on the 192.168.1

So basically I am running two different networks one for the pcs and one for the phones.
Hope this helps I an a newbie

I read the post. It seems to be overly complicated for what I am trying to do. To be honest I don't understand most of it.
I did this on my netgear router in about 2 minuets.

It IS a bit complicated (even though in the end the Startup code needed is brief). That's why the Marvell community was stuck for several years, prior to that post, with no known way to set up VLANs. Sometimes it just is what it is.

if you are observant enough, you can see in SurprisedItWorks signature 'Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 routers on 46816' and this is the build he is running... Cool
but it wont hurt to try the last one 47481...who knows... Laughing
