So as I said, I asked and BS can't remember exactly why he changed it ages ago.
I then checked and he did indeed change it between build r43136 and r43005 (1,5 years ago)
I would say you guys are pretty sleepy heads (the ones with the regulatory domain US).
he also sent me the following
Quote:
Channels 12 and 13 aren’t completely illegal in the USA, although they’re usually not offered as options. (Channel 14 is illegal, though, so stick around for that.)
Many people think channels 12 and 13 are banned in the USA, but they’re not. A Wi-Fi router can operate on channels 12 and 13, but only in a “low power” mode. There are strict limits on the power output to avoid interference on the adjacent band, which is owned by Globalstar and used for satellite phones and other low-speed data communications.
and broadcom is something completely different anyway

I am pretty sure only 11 channels showed up in the build I upgraded from, r47117, because I had just reconfigured all my wireless not too long ago. I am pretty sure I would have noticed it then. But then again, I have been known to not see the forest for the trees. But now that my curiosity is up, when I have time later, I will revert to r47117 and check it. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

I switched to USA on both 7800s from Canada and Panama in order to have a look see.
I haven't fooled with any channels in a long time so I never would have caught it anyway.
No telling why one of mine has 11 and one has 13.
Neither one been reset in forever, might be time.
Or not
